I picked up '97 Maravia, and it has the old AD-2 valves. Sounds like they're obsolete and not able to be purchased anywhere. Are there any valves that can replace these with the existing boot? I'm not exactly sure how these even work, but the valve stems on two of these seem to be finicky in order to fully seat and seal. I can get them to seal, but it's so inconsistent.

Also trying to figure out what model this is just for fun. 13' long, 6' width, ~20" tubes all around, 36" interior width, 3 chambers, 10 D-rings, 6 handles, pretty decent rise. Any idea what models were even around in 97? No current model matches this - all the 13'ers have diminishing tubes. Closest model is the Scout - did that exist in 97?

Cheers

Problem 1 - I tried making a tool and using channel locks to remove my broken AD 2 valve. Neither worked. I bought a 2 inch socket. It was too meaty to fit between the boot and the valve so I had a machine shop turn it down to fit. The valve came out without too much torque.

Problem 2 - I didn't check to verify that the thwarts also had AD 2 valves. Turns out Maravia use military valves. I am still going to steal one to replace the AD 2 valve on the raft tube. I don't want to cut out the boot and replace it with another valve. Anybody have other ideas?
