All,
Over the weekend and again yesterday, we've been ramping up releases from Green Mountain Dam to keep in step with the inflows to Green Mountain Reservoir. Run off is finally peaking on the Blue.

Currently, the Lower Blue is up to 1800 cfs.

I'm not sure how much more melted snow will be coming down, or if we've hit the peak, yet. We bumped up to the 1800 cfs yesterday afternoon. Sorry to be behind the curve on this one. I was out of town!

Best,
Kara

Slight change on Lower Blue

All,

Inflows into Green Mountain Reservoir have started to drop off. As a result, we are responding by reducing our releases to the Lower Blue River. This afternoon (Thursday, July 10), we will cut back releases in three separate intervals by 100 cfs each time. Our first reduction was at 2 p.m, the second will be at 4 p.m., and the third at 6 p.m.

By this evening, we should be running about 1375 cfs in the Lower Blue.
Those of you up around the reservoir might have noticed erradic releases yesterday. We were testing our gates. Once our testing completed, we were releasing 1675 cfs to the Lower Blue.

As always, please let me know if you have any related questions or concerns.

Best,
Kara
