Hi all,

Many of you may have heard of Louise Jull, an incredibly talented young charger here in New Zealand. It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I write this. This last Wednesday afternoon while paddling a lower section of the Kaituna, Louise got into trouble that unfortunately would end with her life being lost. She was an inspiration to many locally and abroad and her loss has shaken the tight-knit community around here. I was one of the very lucky many who were fortunate to know and paddle with Lulu and she was a joy to be around and always, always charging hard. Chances were if you paddled the Kaituna on any given day, you'd find Lou around at some point. The last time I saw Lou, she was doing what she did best, charging hard around the corner off of trout pool falls. The global kayaking community has lost an amazing light. You will be missed greatly Louise keep ripping wherever you are.
