I pinned briefly right below the second drop after the put-in on SSV and let go of the paddle while I was getting my head above water. We think the paddle may have chocked underwater near there, but saw no sign of it after it surfaced for a moment.
If you are out on SSV, please keep an eye out for an all black, carbon bent-shaft side-kick. It may still have both of my wildwasser pogies attached. Unfortunately, there is no name on the paddle. The right blade is a bit dinged up with some good creeking wear.
Of course, beers and many thanks for the paddle's return.
Cheers,
Alex
