After living in the town with the highest snowfall in the country this winter, the shovels, blowers and plow is about ready to be put away, and I brought the fish cat out for a re vamp, the standard frame is only about 50" if I remember right, I bumped it to 66" on center, cut the lean bar, and extended it to suit, I then took the seat pedestals and tapped the new spreader bars and bolted them on so they would both be 1" taller which is fine I.m.o for spotting fish, next up I used an old rod rack(for 6 rods, and cut it in half, sanded, drilled two holes for the front mount and used heavy duty bungee cord to hold the handles of my beloved spey and switch rods while rowing, then used a single 1/4 20 and wing but as a through bolt and mounted it to the closest spreader bar to the front, and for the rear I just bolted that to the rear spreader bar. For the floor I have an nrs mesh floor I plan on strapping to the factory frame as well here are a couple before and after photos any insight would be great, and keep in mind I'm not a crazy white water guy. The rear cargo deck will use the factory floor it came with with interchangeable pans, on is 26x22" which will be ample storage especially with the new mesh floor, also for the rear cargo deck, I am considering doing some sort of yoke system, even if it is simple like the original frame design, given the fact I will be anchoring at times with it I think it will be a worthy invest ment? With everything I've done to the cat, I am still under 1/2 the msrp with my floor, new spreader bars, re vamped anchor system brass pullies vs plastic and a 4x8 trailer.
