Join Colorado Whitewater Association for our largest annual event May 15-17 on the Arkansas River! At "Training Camp" 2009, you can learn new skills, meet new paddlers and build confidence on the water by paddling with skilled kayakers.

Sign up today! Choose your skill level and what classes you are interested in attending. This is a perfect event for those brand new to kayaking! We will have instructors, leads and sweeps to provide the BEST safety on the river possible. Cost includes all instruction, tent camping for the entire weekend at the Cotopaxi Loma Linda KOA Campground and catered dinner Sat night and breakfast Sun morning. We will have an outdoor movie night Friday night and a band after dinner on Saturday night! Plus plenty of campfire discussions and lots of fun on the water !

EXCITING NEWS: Team Jackson has agreed to stop by our playboating clinics to help out! Get tips from the “First Family of Boating” – the Jacksons themselves! Emily, Dane, EJ, Nick Troutman and the rest of the team – will be in Salida and have promised to send troops to help our awesome instructors (Dave Holzman and Greg Kyle) with our playboating clinics. Beginning playboaters welcome, but you must have at least an 80% combat roll. Sign up for the playboating weekend class or find something else that suits you! Lots of room still available and lots of classes to choose from!

Donated prizes (throughout the weekend) include gift certificates from local restaurants and retailers, gear from Golden River Sports, a waterproof camera from Mike’s Camera and even a brand new cruiser bike from Phat Cyles!

Cost is $150 per person. You must provide your own kayaking equipment.

You must be a CW Member to attend Training Camp. Please see our website for all the details http://www.coloradowhitewater.org/mc/page.do?sitePageId=29636

Registration closes Wed, May 13 at 5pm.
