Join part of a Main Salmon trip

Big Creek floaters are required to obtain a Tributary Permit from the McCall District Office, but they are not required to obtain a Middle Fork permit if they will float all the way out in one day. Big Creek is closed to floating from April 1 – May 31 and from August 1 – September 30.

Yes skivan. If we get on a Main trip launching Aug 1 or 2, it would be to get us back to the west. We would fly in to Big Creek airstrip and start there making sure to get off the MF prior to the Aug 1 closure.

Hmmmm.....I'd like to do that trip. And I know someone who pulled a Main permit today for the 18th that will likely have space for four packrafters. The problem is I've got two kids to watch that week so I'm probably either staying home or going down the Main with them. Stay in touch if you're more flexible than you're letting on and don't find anyone else.
