Anyone else's seat not stay put?

I noticed mine moved waaay to easily, and everyone I've asked in the eddy at the play spots around here has said the same thing.

so how about it- does the seat in your Jackson boat stay where you want it, or does it inadvertantly slide back when playing?

I've implemented a fix that I'm happy with, and am curious as to how many other folks are in need...

If you tighten the nuts behind the hip pads and the hose clamp enough you shouldn't have any problems with the seat moving around. Some times they need re-tightened but you shouldn't need anything special. Older models didn't have the hose clamp and just had a zip-tie so you may need to buy a hose clamp.

you must have forearms of steel!

I'm 6'2 200#, used to climb, and am a semi-pro bass player and I couldn't get close to enough torque to tighten the bolt enough to keep my seat in place... and that was with a wrench on the hose clamp.

I've also been conducting an informal survey (asking people in the eddy while surfing) and have not had one person tell me their seat stayed put.

as I said before, I have a fix but I'm more curious to see how many other folks have the same problem.

I'll take yours as the first 'no' ;)

Ditto on this solution. Make sure ya got tight nuts and the hose clamp.
