How many days have you kayaked this year?

Another post made me think of this question. I see a lot of frustration from newer paddlers who just haven't "gotten it". Sadly I think most of these people give up and quit. Most of them spend 2 or 3 days a month in their kayak.

So how many days do you have in your kayak this year? Be it a day at the play park or an overnighter somewhere remote. Starting from the end of March I have around 25. I just bought a drysuit so next year I expect that number to go up a little.

Damn Fullmer... Getting in done! I love the Durango paradox... Playboatin or hard class V with nothing in the middle.

I'm prob nearing 40 days this year. A bit light for a normal year since I missed the spring Cali trip and work is cutting into boating time.
57. Started with a New Years Eve float. 1 mid January trip, 3 in February and then it takes off...
gotta be close to 40. lots of low water Boulder creek with the kid, then high water boulder creek with and without the kid. Finally getting CC while still relatively high, without the kid.

I keep threatening to keep a log, but have yet to take the initiative.

Work it Fullmer; very well played, and lots of water left.
Hey Ian,

Looking forward to Bailey Fest soon!

Maybe we'll get a rain bump again for some high water.
Thanks for this thread. It made me go back and log everything I've done since I did my first class back in May. I'm at 20 days paddled with only 6 days missed this month. Crazy knowing how much time I've put in to this sport already!
I think the point you're making is that kayaking is not a part time hobby. I tend to agree. I've seen people who want to just get out and kayak half a dozen days a year and have a little fun on the water. Inevitably those people end up having a bad time because they haven't acquired the skills to be in control. It seems to me that's what duckies are made for.

With a new job and new kid it's been a challenge to get days this year. Fortunately the FR has had a good runoff and I've remained motivated. If I didn't miss logging any, I'm at 47 days today and hopefully 48 by tomorrow.
sho sho, about 5 upper dolores sessions, couple big surs, taylor, 3-4 days of random high water ark sections, and probably 45 days on the san miguel.
would guess 55 days so far.
30 days so far for me. I guess I need to up my game.
30-40, I'd guess.
Not enough. I'm at 40. Speaking of which, if anyone wants to do laps on SSV hit me up.
45 days in southwest co with a high water self-support U. Animas and Ruby Anthracite through Dark Canyon today as highlights.

Around 50 if we are counting playboating. About 35 days of floating downstream.

Also, the Professor is a role model for all of us.
