I found a Decent Deal on Creigs list for a Pyranha H3 and was wondering if it would serve as a creek boat as well as using it to run gore. I am 6,2 190#s I have been paddling my dads old 2003 Jackson Superstar for the past 5 years. I have done mostly stuff on the Ark, Rio Grande, Platte and have even run the lower Narrows in her. Im looking for a new Boat so I can upgrade and try gore next weekend, but also a boat I can use to explore some Colorado Creeking.

I was looking at a Buzz but 650$ for a used boat is a little above my budget.

The H3 I found looks like it could be a good deal I just want a second opinion.

I think if you get the big H3 (255, I think) you'll be happy with it as a first creeker. It'll be great for Gore. I thought it paddled pretty similar to the Burn, but the Burn resurfaces faster.

H3 was my first "big boat." Great for Gore, edges catch rocks a bit too much for my taste for creeking. I'd say $200 - $300 is good price for an H3 in great shape.

H3 is a great big water boat due to it's hard edges, speed and relative lack of volume.
