Mark you calendars for the annual Pueblo Chile & Frijole Festival in Pueblo, Colorado. The event is Sept 21-23rd with great food (pepper roasting on site by many local farms), music, and some fun end-of-summer paddling in the Pueblo Whitewater Park.

Scheduled paddling events will take place Sunday the 23rd in the PWP (but the park will also be open to boaters and boarders Friday & Saturday).

Events include a freestyle rodeo for all levels of participants, the "Pepper Plunge" raft race (build your own hooligan-style raft with a pepper theme and see how far you can take it through the park!), the "Extreme" rubber ducky race (buying a duck helps support the Pueblo Paddlers and you can win the jackpot!) and last, but not least, free raft rides for non-boater family and friends who want to get on the water.

So plan on coming to Pueblo to enjoy some great food, friendly people and one of the state's best whitewater parks! For additonal info call Bob Walker at the Edge 719 583-2021 and keep your eye on this link....Pueblo Boating Beta

Hard to tell what the flows will be as supplimented flows are over for the season. There is a chance that the Pueblo Board of Waterworks may share a little water, but only time will tell.

Just remember that this is the end of the season and we will have a great time no matter what the flows are. Gary Lacy & crew (above photo) had a good time surfin' the park at last year's chile fest so there is definitely some fun left in the river.

If you need big water to have big fun, then come see us in the spring. But if you are up for some boatin', beer, and amazing mexican food...come see us Sept. 21-23.

And if you are up for a challenge, build a raft and enter it in the Pepper Plunge (the Chile Fest version of the amazing Hooligan race at FIBArk). I will post info on the raft race soon...or you can head to paddlepueblodotblogspotdotcom.
