Hey there,

I'm trying to decide between a few creekboats, a Big Gun, a Gus, or maybe an Embudo or a blunt. The price is a factor, but really the three older boats range from 4 to 5 bills, and the Embudo is basically new and the asking is 800.

I'm paddling more high volume creeks and less technical stuff, although there will be some tight runs.

Since CO is all about creeking, I figure yall should have a good idea about these.

oh yeah, I'm 190+, a solid IV a few V's type boater in the mid-atlantic. I'm not displacement adverse, but I'd like to have a little bit of a planing hull as I'm not really going to ever do drops over 25 or so feet, and the correction factor is key. I've paddled some slalom so knowing how to sweep/draw isn't an issue and I appreciate speed, but I don't want to not be able to get my boat around if i'm flailing...

Any help is much apprciated, Gracias!

Steve :)

I would go with the Gus but the Huck is really good too. I would probobly say the Huck but the since you're not taking jumps bigger than 25ft. you should be fine with the Gus.
