As you can see we tweaked the layout a bit and now have space for a panoramic photo in the header. We would love to showcase your amazing photos so if you have a shot you think would work please post it here. Keep the following in mind:

- We can crop a regular photo to make a panorama but the objects in focus need to be pretty small so we can slice it properly so it fits. This means the paddler needs to be fairly far away in the shot.

- The photo has to be at least 1250 pixels wide but even higher res photos work better because we can zoom in/out as needed to crop out a panorama. I just increased the max size of uploads to be 2400 pixels wide/tall but if need a high res original larger then that we can get the original by email.

- Please include the paddler, photographer, river/creek and run when submitting entries so we can put those on the header.

That is a very cool improvement thanks, will be awesome to see the pics from the community. Especially since you get to pick them and make sure we see quality :)

The look and feel of the buttons on top seem similar to the BT upgrade they just did, I like the change.

Two things I noticed were the large ads on every thread top/bottom when you view it and the scroll to last post not working. Is it a work in progress or are the changes complete?

Thanks for running the Buzz!

I hope the front page photos come back at some point. In the meantime - here is my submission for header photo (bonus points because its flatwater):

Photog - Ryan Turner
Location - Cataract Canyon, Colorado River

Great shot Brian. We'll see if we can make that work and contact you via email if we need an even higher res shot for cropping.

The photos being lost on the home page was technical error, it's been fixed and they are showing again. Thanks for pointing that out.

I haven't submitted anything yet, but I do notice I'm still looking at a Class II brace and a commercial paddle boat.

Hey Andy, I recently updated RiverMaps website and I added two panoramic images to the home page that I bet Duwain wouldn't mind you guys using. They are both in the Grand Canyon and of course are iconic. Nankoweap and Red Wall Cavern. I hope you can find a use for them. If you do credit RiverMaps please. Thanks.
