Wild feral hogs are a big time problem here and especially in southern Oklahoma.

they destroy food sources for native wildlife plus farm fields.

Only problem is you harvest one and five more will show up.

You want to talk about a renewable resource! The pigs are crazy. Research shows you have to kill 70+% of a population every year just to keep numbers the same. They breed so young, so often, with such big litters and have almost no predators, its almost impossible to keep them in check. By the time a sow is a year old she has typically already had one litter of about 6 pigs. The next year she will have 2 and typically 3 litters of an average of 8 pigs each. Do the math! I reccomend any opportunity you get to hunt and eat hogs, do it. Fun and downright delicious.

I was talking to Ryder at AIRE a few months ago, and the second my state of residence came up in the conversation he began to salivate at the prospect of hog hunting down here. They are indeed a big problem.
