So, I have had lots of questions about the Gunny Rodeo and feature, and here's what is going on as of Wednesday:

The water is higher than anticipated for this time of year in Gunny. Gunnison County has donated sandbags, and we will be strategically placing them on Friday before the event. If you are concerned about having a good feature for this event, please help us on Friday at the Gunny park at approx 5pm. We will probably build an eddy at the first wave/hole, and take it from there.

We have scheduled 2 days of rodeo and the boatercross at the park. Rodeo 1st round will be Saturday morning and 2nd round is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. If the water level is not cooperating there may be just 1 day of rodeo on Saturday. Boatercross will be sunday.

We will have a competitors/info meeting on Saturday morning at approx 9-10 am, so come down to the park and we will get set up. Thanks to everybody who has helped out. We have some great sponsors and prizes so we are hoping for another great turnout. See you there...

I saw some of those sand bags arriving at the park. Hope you have a lot more. I wonder if Cdot or the city has some large cement bariers they use durring road construction we could use. Probably would have to drop them in with a crane but they would do the trick.

Either way I will stop by to help on Friday.

Thanks for your help, we will need it. There are more bags on-hand, but we will need to fill them up at public works on friday. It should be fun to work on this, and we will make a little party out of it...
