A couple of my friends and I are talking about doing Gunny Gorge tomorrow. Has anyone ran it at 4,000 cfs +. Can you eddy out? Does all the rapids flush out or does it just get bigger? Any ideas? We are planning on taking oar frames.

Thanks Guys,

Post photos if you have time to remove your hands from the oars.
It is a highway.

Above 3,000 it washes out. There are potential for bad swims, however most of the big waves and holes that are left are easily missed. Around 7,800 it starts getting big again. My personal favorite level is between 2200 and 2800. At those flows there is lots of great play. We floated it yesterday and the trip took us just under three hours. We will be floating it again on sunday, and then again next thursday for hopefully a one and a half hour tour. Gilligan is not invited, sorry Gilligan.
I'm Glad I'm Not Giligan

Awesome Ben! I want to hit it with you between 2200 and 2800, hopefully in early July. Take video. I'll loan you a GoPro if you need it. ;)
