Here's a little footage from a New England classic. Its the West Branch of the Pleasant River. It has a swamp in its headwaters so it runs often and holds its water well. It also goes down to nice ELF levels. Just south of Baxter State park. I wrote a TR about it that's in the guidebook, Let It Rain.

i like it. grew up in bucksport and did many hikes along gulf hagus but didn't start paddling till i moved to CO. now i wanna go back and paddle my roots. maybe i'll hit u up for a tour down the creek next time i'm back there with a boat!
