Grizzly Creek to ??? 6/21/14

My family and I will be headed to Glenwood this afternoon for a weekend of camping and boating.

For tomorrow (Saturday) I plan to run Shoshone alone and pick up the kids & wife at Grizzly and continue onto the park or further. Anyone interested in meeting up for the float / shuttle?

We are fairly slow getting around in the morning and are camping at Bair Ranch, so I would imagine we will be ready around 10 or 11.

will be radical! grizz down is still really fun at these levels... and Shoshone is super fast at 7 grand! and I would recommend going to south canyon or new castle, still a pretty short trip to two rivers at this level.... cheers!

No disrespect taken, I agree that an additional boat would be worth while. I have been through Shoshone many, many times, although not in several years. Did a drive-by a couple of weeks ago and everything I could see looked ok. I will have another look today & tomorrow.

I am not opposed to others joining for Shoshone if they are interested.

Taking out at two rivers is our plan for right now as we will be doing a bike shuttle if nothing else works out. I would love to continue further down if we can work out a shuttle.
Two Rivers park in Glenwood can be a zoo on a Sat. afternoon. If you're carrying instead of trailering, Tibbetts about 2 miles below South Canyon is (usually) less crowded. Last I looked, the hot pools on river left were still covered, but some of the higher ones might be exposed now. But, a nice level on a day in June.
Bike Path

Keep in mind that the bike path between Shoshone and Grizzly has been closed for the season due to washouts. There are gates at both ends.
I've always liked South Canyon, but a couple of extra miles would nice.

Our trip went well! Ended up meeting some friends that helped out with the shuttle down to New Castle.

Went ahead and ran Shoshone. The run went well until Tombstone… Missed an oar stroke, hit the big hole and flipped my 16' cat!

A miscalculated attempt to right it meant an upside down ride through Maneater, which luckily was a smooth ride down river right. Once out of Maneater we were able to get it back over and compose ourselves before making the final turn and pulling into the Grizzly eddy to pickup our wives, and my kids. :D

It had been a while since my last flip, so I am chalking it up to good practice!

Grizzly to New Castle was a good run. Stopped for lunch at the water park and enjoyed watching the show.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions that were contributed.
