What's the word on GJ getting a whitewater park? Was reading that it was back on the table, but in town instead of closer to Palisade. Rumor has it we've even secured funding and we're just deciding on the best site. Any truth to this? If so, then how could one get involved in the planning/development? This is definitely what GJ is missing and I'd love to be a part of it.

Had previously read the above article about the recent push to put in a park. Rumor about funding came from friend of friend of.....hence this post asking for input from someone in the know. Hoping they weren't confusing the recent funding for Las Colonias as a go ahead for the kayak park.
