Ran gore this sunday and work on the put in raft ramp is in full swing. In a bit of nostalgic sad news, the standard dirt slide down to the river is now covered with a wooden ramp frame. RIP old slide! The good news is an alternative sliding spot just upstream adds a few ft of vert drop at the top and ups the slide ante a bit. Still good fun to slide into a run down gore.

The fall colors were in full effect all through the blue river valley this weekend and gore was beautiful yesterday. Still more gore season left. Big crew of 9 had a great time. Still wondering about the full story of the raft tied up below scissors. Abandoned craft below gore rapid seems to be the norm.

There's a thread floating around somewhere about it. Evidently some fishermen missed the take out for their Blue float and wound up down there. Someone is going to take care of it this week.
