Ran the roaring fork from Carbondale to west bank the other day and caught a rock busting up my G4 shoe on my hyde hard boat. Caught it on the corner so right where the lip wraps around the bottom of the boat. Talked to Rich at Hyde and plan on getting a new shoe put on this fall when i go up to Steelhead fish the salmon but thats not till october. Was told to use epoxy and fiberglass for the repair. Anyone have any suggestions on what type of epoxy and fiberglass to use. I have about a 3" length by 2" wide spot to fill.

Tap Plastic epoxy

Dont know anything about the G4 shoe but Hyde used to sell an epoxy patch material. They were out so I ordered from Tap Plastic to patch a pretty good ding in the bottom of my Hyde. Works great as a patch on fiberglass but again- dont know about the G4.
