Been having a blast front surfing my jack's cutthroat this season. I don't use oar rights and one of the reasons I tell myself is that (in theory) I can feather the blades in a front surf to keep the boat at a 90 to the surf wave. In practice, however, I feel completely at the mercy of the wave and my little feathering of the oars is insignificant. I can't correct when the wave wants to side surf the boat.

Does anyone have this technique down?
