We had a wonderful 5night, 6day float on the Main Salmon. We pushed off from Corn Creek (0.65ft) on Monday July 28th around noon. The yellow jackets were really bad at Corn Creek, but got better down river. We wound up with over 20 YJ stings over the course of the trip. We had 10 adults, 5 kids and 5 rafts with no reserved camp spots the entire float. Black Creek Rapid was the consensus rapid that people had their hearts racing and Vinegar Rapid was the other that had some people taking a sigh of relief.

The adults played Salmon River Survivor after dinner each night, starting with couple events nights 1-3 and voting off a couple nights 1-3. After that the challenges turned into individual. Everyone had fun and we were creative with the challenges. The kids found their fun swimming, exploring and playing games.

We implemented the "Bonehead" designation with a tutu to who displayed the highest level of errors the day before and a costume day.

Everyone came off the river with a big smile and talking about when we will do it again.

We tried to document as much as we could:

Black Creek Rapid-Right Run

WhitefishBrandon, we launched the day ahead of you. I think we saw you guys just below bluebird on the 31. What a great trip. We ran Black Creek on the right. Plenty of water but a little more manuevering than the left side. Loved the survivor games, We may have to try that on our next trip. We also had some YJ stings. the smaller camps were not nearly as bad though.

There was serious consideration running it right. However, left looked the safest route with kids. Hopefully, we didn't leave a bad impression with you group, we were just having fun.
