Yo Paddlers - here’s the deal.

Escalante got run Saturday and Sunday at "Painfully Low" levels.

We just ran it again today and it was back up to a near perfect medium level. Perhaps a bit lower than the first pulse in early April. Warm days and nights, plus a bunch of rain last night was enough to bring it up.

The bad news is that a cold front is moving in again. It’s 58 and dropping in Montrose now. It is also raining. The days are supposed to cool off again and the nighttime temps will dip to the low 40s and high 30s. My guess is that it will shut right back down to a "barely runnable" level within a day or so. The one thing that may help it hang on is more rain, but the forecast doesn’t call for much.

I don’t think there is enough snow above to bring it back up after the coming crash.

For those who MUST have one more run; I would shoot for tomorrow and pray to the rain gods!
