Ran Escalante Saturday (4-7-12) It was low and cold. Ice along the banks.

The fin at 57 was exposed and the upper fin just visible.

Most of the rapids ran just fine - just the in-between stuff was boat abuse.

Leap of Faith was a little sketchy.

We walked the narrow little slot (Rib Wrecker - or whatever it is) It was nasty.

We walked the falls - but you could have run it - sketchy.

Other than that no new obstacles or wood or anything.

I doubt we have much left in Escalante this year. The snowpack looks grim and the night time temps have been too low. If we could manage a real good heat wave with high temps at night, and soon, we might get it back up to medium for a few days. Keep you fingers crossed.
