So I thought this could be something other boaters will enjoy. I just finished reading a great book titled "Eagles in the Flesh" - by Erik Kaye. It's not a kayaking book, but it is sort of a similar culture (or was in the 80s and 90s).
It is stories about the competitive U.S. Hang Gliding team - Gangreen. The wind currents are similar to rivers only invisible. The book is fantastic and can be found on Amazon. The second I finished reading absolutely every word from cover to cover I immediately went back and reread the first chapter wanting more. It is intense, funny, and awesome. I'm pretty sure Buzzards would enjoy it.
Cheers!
