Durango and BV end of June through beginning of July?

Trying to get a couple shifts covered to be able to visit Durango and BV between June 27th and July 4th. It'll be my first time boating in CO and I'd like to get it done right.
I'm assuming there are pretty good chances of me finding some peeps to float with but i'd like to line something up ahead of time if possible. Looking to get on some III-IV's. I'm driving up in my Tacoma (with rack) and would love to help with shuttle and provide refreshments.
I'm bringing the Burn and the playboat ( gonna hit up the parks too).
Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

I've never run anything down there. But may be meeting up with some people to show me the lines on July 1, 2. I can let you know if more people get back to me.
Hey French -
We just missed boating together on Fossil at the end of April. I'd be happy to show you some runs in a week or two.
I won't make it to Durango, but you'll have plenty of options on the Arkansas and up on Clear Creek.
The Numbers will be a beautiful, easy class 4 by that time. Runs on Clear Creek (just north of the Ark) will be in the easier Class 4 range as well.
Send me a PM or text (if you still have my number) and I'll run something with you.

Really? Clear Creek, easy class 4? Bad feedback Mike...
I assumed he was referring to I70 Clear Creek, not Clear Creek Ark (which I think is about done for the season)....
"Runs on Clear Creek (just north of the Ark) will be in the easier Class 4 range as well."

Guess it could be read both ways...
I will be in Durango looking to paddle on Friday then heading up the the Ark to paddle through the 5th. It will be my first time up there but if you need help with a shuttle. I will be in my canoe in Durango, my raft the first3 or 4 days on the Ark, then back in my canoe for the last few days of the trip. Your welcome to join me. 602-four eight six- 4585

Thanks, Logan - I did indeed mean the I-70 Clear Creek. And I believe it will be running at a flow next week that will make it easier Class 4. In my humble opinion.
And the I70 Clear Creek is still thumping along at a very healthy clip and should be good fun for another month solid, I think.
Does someone have a link to the clear creek Ark section? AW maybe? I was looking for info about it the other day and couldn't find it anywhere
Looks like I'll be on the town run in Durango on Friday. If anyone is running anything in the area on Sat and wouldn't mind me tagging along I'd be stoked to meet some new people.
I'm driving up to BV after that to hop on Numbers and anything else I can get my hands on. Meeting a couple friends there for a day or two of paddling/climbing and again would like to meet some locals or passers by to drink with, and maybe boat with too ;)
I'll be camping the whole week I'm there... Any camping spots you guys recommend?
Also interested in the royal gorge after BV since its a couple hours away. I might have a friend of a friend that works up there but nothing set in stone yet.
Thanks for the help guys!

Go buy WWSR.

Clear Creek Ark is about done. You can still run it at 225, but most people prefer 300.
The lower A in Durango is an easy float right now (kayak or raft) and the new park is decent even at the low flow right now. It is easy to bike shuttle or ride the free trolley to shuttle if you can't find a shuttle buddy. we just stash stuff and come back for it later. Some use a bike lock to lock their kayak up, but all in all I haven't had a problem yet.

Running Numbers tomorrow morning. Meeting at CKS around 1030. Black dodge ram. Hopefully making two laps before we have to head back to Denver.
