Can I bring my pooch or is this going to be another depressing farewell when I pack up my boat and part ways while he slinks to the ground and sadly stares at my departure?


If not Split Mountain, what about other floats near Split Mountain that will allow me to bring my buddy?

Prepare to suffer the guilt of leaving that beautiful face at home. Bring lots of treats to suck up when you get back. No dogs on the Dino river sections.

It's 100+ miles of flat water below Split Mountain

Dog are pretty much a no-go in Utah. I think you can bring them on the Green below Flaming Gorge, the Gray Canyon daily on the Green (Nefferiti to Swaseys), Ruby/Horsethief, and maybe the Moab daily??? No doggies in Dino Natl. Park (Lodore & Split), Westwater, and Deso.
Bummer.

You might want to check the River Rafting section on Dino's main page: www.nps/dino/index.htm.
The Split day trip section requires a permit, but are pretty easy to get; though the paperwork is a bit of a process. Fun section though.
