Spoke with the Denver Water folks today. Couple comments for boaters...

Odds of bailey fest release getting slimmer as we near the event dates (Aug 14-16) and flows are still high in the upper south platte. Expect to have more info by end of next week. Don't foresee need for tunnel flows any time soon with lots of water in the upper south platte basin, very low water demand due to continued rain, and no need for tunnel flows.

Denver Water continues to drain Antero res with an outflow currently of 200 cfs. Expect antero to be drained by Aug 5. Release from antero will drop down after that.

Flows for cheeseman / elevenmile are at ~600 and on the slow decline. Reservoirs are full and spilling, so I would expect a continued slow decline with a potential step down Aug 5 when antero drainage stops. I have had a few questions regarding cheeseman flows. Huge flows will have certaintly moved some wood around. Hopefully it cleaned things up. Cheeseman should be dropping in to a good range and have a decent flow window.

Thanks Ian! Sad to hear about another year where Bailey Fest is unlikely, but it's hard to complain too much with the likes of Clear Creek running well into July.
