I'm new to Whitewater and am thinking of a used Honcho I found at a good price 5"10' 220#, & comfortable on the water, so it seems to be a good fit. Any one have anything to say, good or bad???

At your size, that would be a great starter boat that you could hold onto for a while. I thought about getting one for a "do-it-all- boat to take to Mexico for play / waterfalls. Stable with playful characteristics. If you can get it for under $400, it's probably a very good deal. Check all the bolt holes, seat mounts & edges to make sure there's no cracks. A little oilcanning for an older boat is normal, but make sure it's not too bad.

Have fun & be safe...

The first boat I ever bought was its littleist brother the "Showdown". Its a sweet boat & I learnt alot while I had it. I still regret selling it. But at your size the Honcho is a good option.
