dagger 7.1 for a kid?

I am wanting to give play boating a try. I found a dagger 7.1 with paddle,skirt, and life jacket for $250 in good shape. For that price I thought I would give it a try. The boat is rated for up to 240lbs. My question is..is it possible my kids at about 110# could use it in MO to run some class 1/2 water on a casual float trip?

if the waters not swift he shouldnt have ne problems but its gonna be a hog to maneuver for him and in the case he swims hes not gonna be able to man handle it
