They will go, that is for sure. I ran OBJ a couple of times in 2002 when they had just about nothing for snowpack, the Gunnison is slightly over 100% snowpack right now. It was fine, we ran everything but Ankle Breaker. Daisy might not run in a dry year, but that's about the only one that really needs peak water to be worthwhile. OBJ is really the creek that you go to CB for. The upper east is too short, the slate isn't as quality as OBJ.
just curious if anyone out there has run Stupid Falls on the east. If so, what was the level?....just curious. The east is a good warm up for OBJ if you're not sure if you're up to it yet. OBJ is still a lot harder, but if you feel really comfortable on the east, you should make it down OBJ.
