What is the likelihood of Clear Creek of the Ark running during Paddle Fest this weekend?

There is a good chance, but its probably going to depend on what your minimum is...up to 100 this morning and rising pretty quick...
If Clear Creek stays low, then Lake Creek will probably maintain at a good level, which it's at now. The upper portions of Lake Creek are predominately similar difficulty to Clear Creek Ark.

Says the sandbagger...

Actually, Kyle is right. But I'm betting Clear Creek will be pushing into the 200s Friday night (runnable), and Lake Creek will be pushing into 700 plus by Friday night (upper is good, lower is for the few).
It should be stated that there is a very good possibility of new wood in upper Lake. Star Mountain 1-3 ran huge this winter pushing all the way up onto the highway...

OP maybe you can return the favor and give some beta on Crested Butte. How Much snow on the road/campground area up to/at OBJ? Looks like the flow might be in this weekend, even accounting for low elevation melt.
I walked the 2 gorges of Clear yesterday but none of the between stuff and the gorges are clean and good to go. There is still a ton of snow up that way.

Lake Creek is in. We went up to run it yesterday but our shuttle bailed so we just hiked Clear to look for wood.. Marco? Cutch? You boys want to do a evening run this week or weekend on Lake? I have no idea what the overall wood situation is and I was hoping Marco would probe out the last Campground hole :)...

Cottonwood pass is open and easy car accessed ski lines are available. Indy should be open today or tomorrow.

Creeks are going straight up and I would give Clear Creek a 62% chance of getting above 200 (my absolute min) by Sat.

Summer is here boys!
The creeks in CB are primed but unfortunately the roads are not. Still lots of snow, but melting fast. I would say within the next week to two weeks (depending on weather) the roads should start to open up.

Haha. No way! I vowed never to run upper lake at high flows after the last time we probed for new wood. Also, I'm soft and off the couch and need the easy runs these days. But I guess that is better than joining the SUP thing 😄

OK, thanks. I don't care about driving up to the put-in though. Is the slate road open to get up to OBJ campground area or do you have any beta on when that may happen? Cams up there make it look pretty green and dry down low around town. Thanks!
