If anybody is interested in doing some 1st and 2nd descent class 4-5 paddling in the transition zone between the Tibetan Plateau and the Sichuan Basin, (vertical relief of 13000 feet on average, with heavy annual monsoons), please check out www.shangri-la-river-expeditions.com. We're a non profit organization specializing in the development of river recreation in western China, and so in addition to paddling two weeks of high quality first descent material on the edge of Tibet, we invite you to join us in teaching kayaking and rafting techniques to a local outdoor program. China is a wild and crazy place right now with river exploration being no exception, and the more paddlers that jump on the wagon now the more likely it is the changes will be river friendly. At any rate, sounds like everybody's having a good spring, hope there's still some water there when I get home.

Best to all,

Travis Winn
