Due to the all the applications for recreational in-stream diversions, recreational releases and Kara Lamb's exceptional political pull, the Bureau of Reclamation is officially changing its name to the Bureau of Recreation! "It was an easy decision", said new commissioner Robert Johnson, "We can still be referred to as Bureau of Rec, BOR or USBR."

Other changes include making agriculture and power secondary concerns behind water recreation. Water will be conveyed based on which rivers offer the best recreational experiences and "high flow" windows will be added based on demand and popularity. The old seal will be re-instated, but replacing the dam with a kayaker in the middle.

The Animas-La Plata Project is going to be reconfigured. The Durango Pumping Plant will still be operable, but is now scheduled to supply the nation's first artificial year-round extreme creeking/playpark. The Big Thompson Project will guarantee runnable flows on Gore, while still supplying flows on the Big Thompson. The Fry-Ark Project will keep flows going on the Arkansas into October.

Stay tuned for more changes coming soon!

Is this a joke? C'mon, stop pullin' our legs. The fact that they might actually care sounds cool, I guess. But will it actually happen?
