Where are the hot springs and indian ruins on the wilderness run of the Chama river, NM? I've heard there may be some hot springs along that section. GPS coordinates would be most appreciated. Thanks

Hot Springs

The hot springs are about a mile past the Rio Nutrias confluence on river left in a grassy patch. They are muddy but nice. I have never known of any native ruins along that section of the Chama.

About 50 yards upstream of the hot springs, and on the opposite side of the river, are the ruins of Ward Ranch. The old cabin burned down within the past two years, so the ruins are now hard to spot from river level. But no Native American ruins along the wilderness section of the Rio Chama that I am aware of.
