Camping advice near steamboat

I'm looking for something near the water and and close to town.
I also need a spot that can accommodate my trailer.
I'm not opposed to private campsites that you have to pay.

There aren't really many camping options close to town. The Steamboat Campground is just west of town and is right on the Yampa but it is a private campground. Not sure of the rates. Other options for dispersed camping would be on Rabbit Ears Pass or Buffalo Pass Rd. There are lots of camping options 30 minutes outside of town.
