BV to Hecla - How long at 1700 cfs?

About 3 to 4 hours if you take it easy. Could be shorter or longer. Depending on how many eddys you stop
In to let commercial body's go by.

I've been a little out of the loop. Is the Silver Bullet open now?

Ran yesterday, about 2 1/2 hours.

Whats the highest point you could put in with a 16ft oar boat? Johnson Village? Trying to float as long as possible too. Maybe go down to big bend. Any suggestions on good last minute camp spots mid week? Sorry for the HJ.

Last week the Silver Bullet was still closed. Parks was making everyone get out at the ball field

Beware of the boat chute. There is a nasty hydralic that flipped us. I would portage around right now.



Thinking of doing a long day on the Ark, any ideas about how long it would take to go from BV to Hecla at 1700 cfs?

Ran it sun. about 1700, silver open, still rough but fun, ran it before they closed it, really fun and very rough lots of people getting bumped out, not bad now, took to brakes, lunch and a corrector brake, I think we were 4 hours to Hecka, geat weather sun not much traffic, put in at ballpark at 2;30.

I;ve put my 16ft cat in the numbers at this level (1700) at browns say 1450 or so at the numbers and got outafter sedals (stone bridge) and thats a real long day, fun but very good workout for one man at the oars (I was beat).

It's still hangin in at 1700, you could prob put in at railroad bridge.
