That's an acurate assessment. Right now the Upper BV hole is great and the lower is a sticky, shallow ledge hole. I was in it the other day and you can definitely get out of it but it's not very fun compared to the upper hole or the Salida holes.
The good news is is that the lower BV hole was good at lower water so as the water starts to drop out after the 15th and nothing else is going on the lower hole might be a good bet to get wet.
Everything is still fun in the area. Pine Creek race tuesday put on by AVA, great flow for that as well as the #'s and Lake has been holding in somewhere @ 250-300 which is lots of fun.
