It's quite a bit more demanding. There is nothing in Browns that compares with sunshine rapid. The water is much bigger and faster than Browns. Try out bighorn sheep canyon above the gorge for a similar class III option. Just watch yourself in 3 rocks.
the hammer has a keeper wave in the first half at about 2800 for people who like to surf,I do to but not that long, if you stay left, you'r fine, But realy nows not the time to learn the Gorge, try 2000 and work up from there,go with no bullshiters, YOU NEED TO KNOW WERE YOUR GOING, Then you'll be just fine.
