Hey, I'm new to Colorado springs and trying to ride down browns canyon or any River close by. Need a partner to drive up and down the river with. Hmu.

Not sure what you mean. If you're looking for someone to run shuttle with, you can usually pick up a ride from the takeout back to the put-in by asking around or hitchiking. If you're referring to the act of kayaking as "riding down the river" then it sounds like you are a complete novice and should sign up for lessons and work your way up to a Class III run like Brown's. Even at low water, a novice would unprepared for the challenges posed by Brown's.

Take a lesson and go on a guided trip with Rocky Mountain Outdoor Center. They are located right at the launch for Browns Canyon and have professional instructors and run a quality operation.

Parkdale isnt, in my opinion a beginner run. Especially at current levels. Spikebuck is getting bony and would not be a pleasant swim. Pikes peak ww club uses other sections until an individual has some experience.
