Hey,

I know many of the airlines do not allow kayaks on board, and I am starting to think I may need to fly with my boat, so was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for how to do it. Only things I can think of so far is;

-Turn up at the airport with my boat, pretend I didn't know the rules and try to talk someone into letting me take it
-Take the boat wrapped up, tell them it is a surfboad and hope they don't check
-Call ahead of time, hope to get someone sympathetic and try to get them to let me on the plane

Any idea what would be the idea?

Any help is great, thanks.

after not being able to take mine on the plane, i thitnk your best bet is to buy a kayak bag and call it a ski bag. i brought my waterski on the plane in a bag and it worked fine.

That's a good one. I'm gonna have to try that one next time.

Snakes on a Plane

For easier loading- take all snakes out for your gear bag, and check you kayak for snakes as well. Those little buggers can fit almost anywhere.
