BoaterTalk is currently experiencing database problems. All efforts are being made to get the system up and running again. About a month's worth of data is currently in limbo and I'm looking to see if it can be retrieved before the system is put back up. If you know any experts in data retrieval, feel free to email me at [email protected]

Update: The problem is a clicking drive. The last backup I have is from 1-14-06. The replication server stopped replicating the day before I did that backup (I usually have realtime backups with that machine.) Ironically, I had scheduled my next backup for today. I do it on weekends because BT is less busy. If anyone knows of any good data recovery people who are reasonably priced, I'm interested in talking to them. I got a $6k to $10k quote today. I can't afford that. Once I know what the story is, I'll bring BT back up. Worst case, we lost a month worth of data.

So are you talking about raw data retrieval from a damaged disk or are you talking about recovering from a clean image copy of the database? What database product are you using?
