This is Jon, Marks friend from the N Platte trip with U of W earlier this year. I have a little shredder and was trying to make it over to Bluegrass. I hear you are the person to talk to about it. What do you think about an infladable running it.
I know there is a lot barbed wire fences and such...are the fall runnable in a shredder do you think or is it not worth the hastle of the fences, etc
I'm certainly not going to be the person to say that Bluegrass couldn't be done in an inflatable. All the moves in the major rapids are wide enough, but some of them are multi-move drops and a swim would be pretty sketchy and painful. I think there are a few videos of some of it on youtube you can check out. I'm lacking a crew for tomorrow, therefore probably not going. Hopefully it will hang around well into September though, so let me know if you're wanting to take a stab at it, I'd be glad to run support and would like to watch.
