How is Blackrock at these flows? Pinny or scrapey? I am new to the Metro area and have never run Blackrock. I am comfortable on the rest of Clear Creek canyon and other IV+ runs.

Anyone running it today or the rest of the week after work?

Any opinions, beta and criticizing are welcome.

By the churches and fire house. Do you also live up in the Hills?
My buddy and I planned on boating lowers around 5 but I will check to see if he is up for Blackrock.
If we join, do you mind if I scout a couple of the rapids?

Yep, I live near the IH dive bar.
Lower is not worth the abuse below 300 IMHO. Blackrock will be boney, but fun IV. The runout to BR rapid is nice, as is the Narrows and runout. I'd be glad to scout BR and Narrows. I already know my line at Rigo (far, far, far right)

Blackrock is still good below 300. I'll run it with no hesitation down to 250, and throw in at least one mank desperation finale between 200-250. Full disclosure: I LOVE THE MANK!

I think the clear creek at golden gauge is reading a bit low. 250 feels like 300 used to. Still enough water.

Have fun.

Ran it yesterday around 250 and it was great. It was my first time down, so I was glad for no push low water. Off to work today or I would be up for another run!

It was fun up there with all you guys last night. That is a great close run.

We continued down lowers at around 8:30 with blue skies and rain. The second half was really dark. Pulled off at Lyons park at 9:30.
It was not too low to have fun. But definitely rock dodging and staying in the flow.

Maybe the gauge is a little off.

Hope to see ya out there soon.

Any of you guys want to do it again tonight or tomorrow? I've done it once, and my buddy (who is better than me, but has never done it) were looking to get on it, but we would like to go with someone who knows the lines....
