If all you buzzards are looking for some boating this weekend D-town is gonna be going off for a while. It poored all night and is still pooring ( at noon). It's snowing up high so the flows won't get huge, it should just be a nice graduall runoff for a few days. I'd be willing to wager that vallecito, 2nd gorge lime (maybe even 1st gorge), and the west fork of the san juan will be good through the weekend. Nick, you should just head down here tonight. I'll be at school till 6 so give me call afterward and let me know what your up to. I've got off tomorrow, maybe we should meet up in pagosa and do the west fork.

The black and D. town are both looking good now. The snow line was pretty low here and we got lots of it, if it gets warm it should be good.

The west fork of the San Juan is one of the best runs in the state. You put on a little ways below the rainbow hotsprings at a bridge across the river = hike up about 3 miles. The stretch is class 4 and 5, super clean no mank, with big drops and sick scenery.

Steven, you haven't done a run in your back yard that is proclaimed to be the best run in the state....maybe you need to get someone to look after those cute girls while you get you some.

Head out towards wolf creek, just before you start climbing up the pass you'll see a forest service road on the left that says west fork access. Drive for awhile (4-5 miles), you'll cross wolf creek, and the road eventually crosses the river. There is a gage right by the bridge that leans at a 45° angle. I forget what's a good level but if it looks good and runnable there than it will be good upstream. (no throughing trash out the window up there though).
