So...

The flows board is beginning to look pretty gloomy... I have wanted to do an overnighter in the Black Canyon for two years, but just haven't been able to pull it together.

Would love to do it, but not sure when to plan out a weekend for a consistent flow.

Any one want to chime in with some beta?

Marty,

Flows are perfect right now for an overnighter. A little lower say 700-800cfs and a few of the gnar gnar rapids/portages are more runnable but the current flow of 1000cfs is good to go.

Craw, I just talked to Dan Crabtree from the Bureau of Reclamation. He noted that plans are to keep the flows about where they are for the next month or so. He also noted that he thinks the gauge is reading a little high and that flows are closer to 950 cfs (vs. 1060 reported on usgs). Looks like there will be a good window to get in there.
