This is atop the Rockfall scout/portage, looking up toward the rim on river left.

Anyone know the story here?

Slot canyon country. X amount of CFS is going someplace else. Can't tell how much X is now, because USGS Streamflow for Utah is all dashes. Very poor web designers nowadays. Latest Windows, latest Fierfox ... Whoops, forgot the latest Colonoscopy.


Did you do top down or bottom up ? If bottom up, then it's diving down above somewhere.

Either you didn't understand the question, or I don't at all understand what you're talking about. Maybe both.

The Boxes have ~450cfs in them. No one is running/hiking them sans boat right now.

We floated down to Rockfall yesterday PM. Portaged on the left the way you do at this flow. Found that rope as pictured. No one around. Rope wasn't there when I ran the same run, at the ~same level, ~10 days ago.
