hey- i have a few pictures posted of that run at low water on AW --->http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/id/3548/....watch out fior wood is all i can say, it looks like it could choke really easy...there is one mandatory portage if i remember. watch out for too much flow, there was a lot of snow down there this year, too much might be fairly exciting. the gauge is visual, drive up from Lake City like 3 mi and have a look...if you go, you should try and snap some pictures so we have some of high water
forgot to add- if the Lake Fork is running, its worth your time. Put in at Redbridge Campground and run it to Gateview. Its actually short enough you could do Henson in the morning and Lake Fork in the afternoon or vice versa, or you can take laps on this stretch all day. its your choice....AW Lake Fork beta--> http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/id/405/
....you may want to look into the BIG CIMARRON.....quality, exciting and longer....2.6-2.7 feet on the gauge at the put-in may be the low end of optimum?....HENSEN CREEK was a mess last season....LAKE FORK has good camping in a pretty canyon and is fun....
