Thanks azpowell.
Would love to find the better ice.
In 2005 we had really good ice, but cannot remember where we got it.

Bump....did you ever find out about this?

Going on a grand trip next week and need to buy ice and would love to do it close to the put-in.

Not in Page, but Moab Ice blocks are the real deal. If coming from Montana it might be on the way.
I'm coming from Colorado and Moab is on the way, but we were hoping to rig our boats and then go do some last minute shopping in Page including getting ice, so if anyone has a source for good block ice in Page or somewhere else near the put-in for the Grand Canyon that would be sweet.

Hey Josh, so I've read and been told that the KOA campground sells the good ice in Flagstaff, I've never been there, etc. give them a call.

Thanks Ken....I think Flagstaff is a bit further then we want to drive out of the way for ice. I was really hoping to find out about this place in Page though. If not, I guess the Moab ice will have to do and we'll just have to get dry ice.

Looks like this Antelope place has it... Antelope Recreation Center Boat Storage for Lake Powell Page Arizona as per the blurb at the bottom of their website. I guess I'll give them a call in the morning and confirm.

the gas station that was mentioned on coppermine road does sell the real solid not compressed ice and they stock lots of it. just got off the Grand a couple of weeks ago ...we were in the middle of the extreme heat wave and that ice performed very well considering the conditions!!

Sweet...thanks for the confirmation. How big were the blocks? If they are smaller, I might grab a few of the big ones on my way through Moab so we can mix and match.
